Augsburg: Graph. Kunstanstalt, ca. 1920. Half-sheet color lithograph depicting a mind reader or hypnotist in performance. In the background, a gigantic Buddha-type figure looms large between two floating question marks. Printed signature of the artist, "Escher," incorporated in to the design. 27 ½ x 35".
Shows a large Hindu Buddah in the corner with rays of light coming from both eyes and shining down over a magician in evening dress who is gesturing to the side. The buddha is yellow and brown with a bluish tint. To the sides of him are 2 large question marks. The background is light blue in the center and becomes dark extending outwards. All is surrounded by a thin white border.

CONDITION: 18 inch Tear but no missing pieces.
